U.G SRC election slated for April 11th

The University of Ghana Students’ Representative Council election has been slated for Tuesday, the 11th Day of April according to a release signed by the Electoral Commissioners of the University of Ghana SRC.
Nominations were opened last 6:00 am last Friday, the 10th day of March and is expected to be closed at 11:59 am on the 17th of March.
The office of the president, Secretary and Treasurer are up for election as the tenure of office of the Esinam led administration come to closure at the end of this semester.

For the position of the president, 15 names have come up so far including Schandorf Ayirebi Acquah, a third year Psychology and Religion student and a former P.R.O of the outgoing administration, Daniel Otting Awuah, a Political Science Student and the head of the Publication and information committee of the political science students association as well as Amoako Sylvester.
The others include David Johnson, Ishmael Nii Quaye, Alfred Kumi, Pascal Agbesi, T.K Paul, Emmanuel Boadi, Moses Baafi Acheampong, Clinton Asante, as well as the only visually impaired student in the race Gerald Daakyehehe.
For the Office of the Secretary two names have popped up so far, Maame Serwaa and Fafa Esi Mensah and also the Treasurer office is also up for grabs and Emmanuel Opoku Effah and Ethel Donkor have made their intentions clear.
Teasers of the various aspirants are littered around campus showing their readiness to win whatever office they are vying for.
