Daniel Otting Awuah, one of the frontrunners in this year’s UG SRC election has released a statement seeking to clarify some allegations that have been made against his person and candidature before, during and after the just postponed election.
In a statement released Thursday evening and signed by himself, he categorically deny any attempt by him or his assigns as alleged to rig the election.
He also used the opportunity to call on disqualified presidential aspirant Alfred Ababio Kumi, who alleged that Levels had approached him with money to endorse him, to substantiate those allegations withing the next 24 hours or apologise or face the Legal consequences thereof.

OTTING(Levelz) SPEAKS On The Numerous Allegations

It is very unfortunate that people sadly, unashamedly and fraudulently vilify you to the very people you seek to lead, assist, grow with and share your ideas with so as to score cheap and undeserved political points, make useless what is useful, pooh-pooh on that desired dream and make a mockery of what is neither funny nor ridiculous.
I must emphasize that initially i felt the only way to stay disciplined and different from them is to stay clear of justifications and explanations of what do not deserve my time but i realise that he who is courteous should not be taken for a fool.
My name has been mentioned to be meddling in the affairs of the SRC Electoral Commission, even to the extent of alleging that i have taken steps to rig the elections, whatever falsehood people peddle in respect of this election has had my name mentioned and the most recent, the allegations of bribery purported to have come from one Alfred Ababio Kumi whom we are all aware of, that I, Otting Awuah Daniel tried to bribe him to openly endorse me as the right candidate for president.
So the question a friend asked me around 4:00am this morning was, “Levelz, why always you?” and my eyes were filled with tears. I asked him back, “Boss, is it that bad to share a dream with people you love, cherish and want to see develop their full potential? Is that too much to ask to deserve this treatment?”
I am not doing this to let you appreciate how emotional i am right now but to state unequivocally , emphatically and without fear or favour that none of the bad and stinking news about OTTING LEVELZ you read and/or hear is true. They’re conspicuously paraded to get you to lose hope in me, to try to take away the reputation that took years to build and it is all about their unsatiated greed for power. They know that these have been done without any honest belief in their truth. But THEY CANNOT BREAK OTTING, THEY CANNOT BREAK US, the JOURNEY REMAINS FORWARD AND NEVER BACKWARD!!!
I guard my person with my heart. I realise that this bribery allegation is coming from a definite identifiable person. Therefore, i, with this message, suggest to Alfred Ababio Kumi to, within the next 24 hours, either come out to substantiate whatever words he has already published about me or use the appropriate media to apologize profusely for rubbing my face in the mud else i will take a legal action in this respect against him.
I will always be the Otting you heard, saw and read about to believe that our Students Union would be safe in his hands, i remain the LEVELZ who’s hard working and committed to seeing what we have started to its successful completion and the slogan still remains #TheNewLevel, We are for You.

Brief Background
This week Tuesday [11th April] students of the University of Ghana had to vote to elect new SRC executives into the next academic year. But the process was cancelled after it was fraught with many challenges and some candidates’ distrust in the process.
