The Vice Chancellor has promised to renovate the assembly hall of KNUST Basic Schools after the completion of their walkway. He made this known when the students of the section named after him visited his office.
As part of their tradition, the teachers and students of KNUST Basic Schools pay a warm visit to any elected Vice Chancellor to congratulate him on his appointment and also to pledge their support. The teachers and students were delighted to meet him since it was their first time meeting him as the Vice Chancellor.
They outlined some of the challenges they face as a section. They sought for his support to purchase ceremonial t-shirts and also for his presence at their inter-section games.
Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, Vice Chancellor, pledged his financial support and continuous help for the section and the school as a whole. He also encouraged the students especially the girls to work harder in order to gain admission into good senior high schools.
The section was formerly known as Professor Evans Anfom but has been renamed Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso. The section is made up of about three hundred students.
