A STATEMENT ON OUR PURPORTED DISQUALIFICATION.
We have noted with a tinge of anguish and disbelief a viral communique purporting to be from the Electoral Commission of the Student Representative Council communicating our disqualification to participate in the elections. The statement making it rounds does not contain any further and better particulars underpinning the purported disqualification.
We take strong exception to the content of the communique and we will further dig deep into its content and keep the student populace posted. We in the interim, assure our sympathizers, supporters and our inner team members that the  Almighty God is behind us and for that matter the statement should be treated with the contempt it deserves. We also invite our supporters to come and witness us, as we go through screening tomorrow in hands of the Vetting Panel. Thank you.

Background
The Electoral Commission released a statement yesterday, 23rd March 2017 detailing qualified aspirants and included that Alfred Kumi had been disqualified. However that statement fell short of detailing the reason/s for his disqualification.
However Campus Based Radio Univers reports that he was disqualified because he failed to get the required 3.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as is required of SRC executive portfolio aspirants.
