I humbly write to inform you of the up-coming workshop on Solar Thermal Systems and Applications schedule for 25th -27th of September, 2017 at Koforidua Technical University, Koforidua-Ghana. The organization of this workshop is under the kind auspices of Ecowas Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) with technical support from the Institute of Sustainable Technologies in Austria (AEE) and is partnered by the Energy Systems Engineering Department, Koforidua Technical University.
As part of the efforts of ECREEE to promote the use of sustainable and renewable energy resources and technologies in West Africa, ECREEE launched the ECOWAS Solar Thermal Training and Demonstration Program (SOLtrain West Africa). The strong political will of ECOWAS countries to use solar thermal energy for water heating in schools, hospitals, buildings, hotels and even for industrial processes was formulated within the ECOWAS Renewable Energy policy and approved by Head of States Authorities in 2014.
It is within this framework that ECREEE in partnership with Koforidua Technical University is organizing a 3 day training of trainer’s workshop to build the technical capacities of participants on solar thermal systems and its applications.
