Stop Collecting ‘Illegal’ Monies from Teachers – GES Warns Directors

The headquarters of the Ghana Education Service has issued a statement warning all district directors to stop collecting monies from teachers before processing their document for them.

The statement which was signed by the director general of the Ghana Education Service,Mr Jacob Kor,was in response to information gathered by the Ghana Education Service concerning teachers who need leave their duties to go to their regional and National headquarters to submit their document.

The director general has directed all district directors and any other officer in charge of document to make sure no document is delayed for more than 48 hours in accordance with public service regulations.
