Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, the 3rd year student of the University of Ghana Accra City Campus who bears the same name as the president of the Republic has been widely elected as the SRC President of that campus of the University.
He polled 713 votes as against his competitor, Jonas Issajolun’s 279 to be the president elect waiting to take over from the Mr. Abekah led SRC administration.
His popularity soared much higher after he was endorsed by TESCON, the NPP’s youth wing of that campus and also because of his name. LegonConnect also gathers that he has family relation with the president of the country.
For the Office of General Secretary Raymond Aboagye won with 443 votes with his closest contenders,Lawrence Neequaye and Benjamin Quansah polling 314 and 258 respectively.
Issah Mahmoud who also contested for the Treasurer position and Priscilla Mensah who also contested for the Women Commissioner unopposed were also popularly elected with the YES/NO vote.
