Koforidua Polytechnic Medical Laboratory Technology

SSSCE Applicants
Credit passes in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus 2 Credits in electives, Chemistry, Biology Mathematics or Physics. The aggregate of the five (5) subjects must not exceed 20.

WASSCE Applicants
The applicant must have a pure science background from GCE O & A level and SSSCE/WASSCE.

HND Medical Laboratory Science

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS
Three (3) passes in core subjects i.e. English, Core Mathematics and Integrated/Core Science plus two (2) passes in Biology and any of Chemistry, Physics or Elective Mathematics. Grade should be at least C6.

GCE O’ AND A’ LEVELS
Passes in five (5) GCE O’ Level Subjects including English Language, Mathematics and three (3) Science subjects, PLUS passes in two A’ Level Science subjects. A pass in General paper would be an advantage.
MATURE APPLICANT
i) Must be at least 25 years old with any legitimate documentary proof
ii) Must have relevant laboratory working experience (a letter from employer is required) with O’ Level or SSSCE/WASSCE Pure Science background as well as credits in English and Mathematics.
iii) Must pass a selective interview.
OTHER QUALIFICATION
Persons with Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technician course will enter in the 2^nd Year of the programme.
