Daniel Otting Awuah Wins Run Off – Heads Into The Union Building

Daniel Otting Awuah a resident of Akuafo Hall and Political Science Student has emerged as the winner in the University of Ghana SRC run off election after he failed to garner the Constitutionally required 50%+1 votes in the first round of the election beating Amoako Sylvester Owusu, a medical student, in what many describes as landslide.
Levels as he is popularly known polled 3,412 votes representing 66.67% votes of the total valid votes cast as against his closest contender, Amoako Sylvester’s 1,706 votes representing 33.33% giving him the right to head into the Union Building as president to replace Esinam Afi Seade whose term of office runs out at the end of the semester.
Daniel Otting Awuah, from the beginning of this Electoral process was tagged by many as the frontrunner with his very different campaign style – sharing news and regularly updating students with very important information on timely basis.
His running mate is a post first degree LLB student in the person of Moses Baafi Acheampong who is graduate and registered pharmacist.
