Banks to Pay University of Ghana Admission Fees

Univresity of Ghana Legon has released the admission list for the 2020/2021 academic year. All applicants are to download their admission letter and make payment of the stated admission fees in their letter.

All admitted students are to report to school from Monday January 11, 2021 to Saturday January 16, 2021 . Teaching will begin on Monday January 18, 2021.

The online application portal for the residential application would be opened on a later date which would be announced on the university website

Academic Registration will be online via the University website https://www.ug.edu.gh. You will need your Student Number and PIN to gain access to the University’s online registration system. To qualify to register for 2020/2021 academic year, you are to pay a minimum of 50% of the fees stated in your admission letter. The remaining 50% of the fees should be paid by the beginning of the second semester.

STUDENTS MUST TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING WHEN MAKING PAYMENTS:

  • Only pay fees at University of Ghana APPROVED BANKS (listed above).
  • All deposits at the bank should be made with a FEE DEPOSIT SLIP.
  • All deposits at the bank should be made with CASH ONLY.
  • Always ensure the STUDENT INDEX NUMBER and NAMES are correctly quoted.
  • Always ensure the AMOUNT quoted on the receipt is the correct amount paid.
  • Ensure the account name is that of UNIVERSITY OF GHANA.
  • Keep Payments by CHEQUE (NO PERSONAL CHEQUES) can be made at the University’s Cash Office ONLY.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

University of Ghana Fresh Students Are to take note of the following Important guidelines

Guidelines on how to register for courses are available here. Students are expected to report from Monday January 11, 2021, to Saturday January 16, 2021. Teaching will begin on Monday January 18, 2021. Tuition will take place largely online and you are encouraged, where possible, to bring along suitable devices for accessing online resources.

The University requires that you are declared medically fit by its Director of Medical Services. In this regard, you will be medically examined at the University Hospital soon after the beginning of the First Semester. Note that you will be expected to pay for the chest X-ray at the University Hospital.

You will be required to participate in a compulsory programme of orientation from Tuesday January 12, 2021 to Friday January 15, 2021. Details of this programme will be made available on the University’s website.

Should you decide to withdraw from the University on or before January 22, 2021 the University shall refund your fees to you less 30% of the total fees paid. Beyond this date, NO REFUND shall be made.
