Black Stars defender John Boye says his side are ready to end their 34-year drought by winning next year’s AFCON in Gabon.
Boye, who was part of the losing team against Côte d’Ivoire in the final, believes they won’t repeat a similar performance in next year’s edition.
In an interview with TV3 during their arrival from Mauritius, Boye said “We were really hurt when we lost to Côte d’Ivoire in the final. We are now ready to win it next year in Gabon”.
“We mostly watch videos of the match to help us avoid some of the mistakes we did in the final,” Boye added.
The 29-year-old Sivasspor player is hoping to win his first AFCON title when the Stars participate in the competition next year.
