The CEO of Vodafone Ghana, Miss Yolanda Zoleka Cuba, and her team has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Obiri Danso, during their regional visit to Ashanti Region.
Miss Yolanda Zoleka Cuba stated that the aim of the visit was to meet most of their trustworthy partners and deliberate on how to manage and better the relationships. She believes KNUST is a pioneering university taking the lead in many projects and she commended management for their untiring efforts. She added that KNUST stood for innovation and therefore it was her hope to work diligently to improve technology systems across the university and empower the human resource of Ghana.
Professor Obiri Danso said that it was refreshing to receive a warm visit from Vodafone and commended them for their unique way of collaborating with the university to enhance teaching and learning. He also applauded them for their effort in expanding internet connectivity on campus. He hoped that the collaboration between the two parties would be taken to the next level where security services would be enhanced through the introduction of modern CCTV cameras in the various halls as well as the expansion of internet connectivity to open areas on campus and distance learning campuses.
