Welcome to the Department of Accounting

The University prides itself on producing a list of highly prominent individuals both in Government and in the private sector. We cannot hold back on the wonderful achievement that the first ever African Chartered Accountant (SA) in the name of Prof. Wiseman Nkuhlu holds a B.Com degree from this University. His success was such an inspiration that a number of other African students followed in his footprints and a new era of fearless prospective Chartered Accountants were born.

Our student population is drawn mainly from the rural Eastern Cape and provides access to the Accounting profession to students that would find it difficult to access this training without UFH becoming a major role player. UFH has a foundation year that also assists with the improvement of the requisite skills necessary for effective engagement by students in the core of the curriculum.
