Appointment of a New Pro Vice Chancellor
APPOINTMENT OF A NEW PRO VICE-CHANCELLOR
It is announced for the information of the University Community and the General Public that the Council of the University, at its 5th Special Meeting held on Wednesday, 21st September, 2016 appointed Dr. Emmanuel Opuni-Frimpong as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, for a term of three years.
Dr. Opuni-Frimpong holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources Management and Master of Philosophy Degree in Silviculture and Forest Management both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He obtained his Ph.D in Forest Science (Forest Health) from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, USA. Dr. Opuni-Frimpong has over 50 research publications to his credit and has extensive experience in management and development.
Dr. Opuni-Frimpong is currently a Principal Research Scientist at CSIR. Until his appointment he was the Head, Forest Improvement and Productivity Division, CSIR-Forest Research Institute of Ghana and Adjunct Associate Professor of Michigan Technological University
