After series of controversial dealings and occurrences in the Esinam led SRC administration, the SRC Public Relations Officer (PRO) Derrick Ayirebi-Acquah has resigned as the PRO of the administration and Chairman of the Publication and Information Committee effective immediately.
A letter signed by him (Derrick Ayirebi-Acquah) on Monday 19th September, 2016 stated categorically that the dealings in the current administration under the watch of the SRC president Ms. Esinam Afi Seade are strongly against his beliefs and integrity.
According to him, his integrity is his greatest asset and he can not continue to defend indefensible things against his will all in the name of being part of an SRC administration which demands his total loyalty.
In the resignation letter presented to the SRC president on Monday, Mr. Derrick Schandorf Ayirebi-Acquah stated that his decision to withdraw from the SRC administration is as a result of prevailing circumstances which he Derrick considers as an indictment on his integrity and creed as an individual and a student leader.
It was reported about some few weeks ago that, the former Senior Boys Prefect and SRC President of Labone Senior High School was seriously against the extravagant sums of money proposed as the first semester budget presented by the SRC Treasurer during the first general meeting of the Assembly.
The SRC PRO is the second major pillar to have resigned from the Esinam led 2016/2017 administration barely four months into the administration. The campaign manager of the Esinam campaign also resigned some weeks ago on similar grounds.
