Student leaders of Africa Hall, the all-female hall on campus, have undergone a one-day leadership and peer counseling seminar. The maiden edition of the Africa Hall Leadership and Peer Counseling Seminar (AHLPCS-1) saw twenty five participants. It is in line with the hall warden’s goal of equipping hall leaders with basic leadership and counseling skills.

Dr. Nkansah further explained that the event would be an annual event to groom the student leaders. She hoped student leaders would be equipped with the needed tools and skills to play their roles effectively. She charged participants to utilize the knowledge gained to help their peers. She also commended the current hall executives for renovating and refurbishing the television room of the hall.

Mrs. De-Graft Adjei encouraged the student leaders to prioritise their schedule and to be open to their peers in order to be able to assist them as peer counselors and leaders. She further advised them to refer their peers to the counseling unit should they encounter issues that were beyond them.
