Teachers in the Ghana Education Service who may be in anticipation of getting their salary arrears at the end of December may be disappointed ,EducationGhana can reliable confirm.
Checks at the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) and the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) confirm that no teacher will receive salary arrears until after the inauguration of the president elect,Akuffo Addo on January 7,2017.
Even though there might have been the possibility of some teachers been paid due to the earlier release of data to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission,that may not necessitate a possible payment of salary arrears in December to all affected staff of the Ghana Education Service.
Teachers who are affected are expected to keep their hopes alive for the coming month.
