The 2016/2017 best graduating student (Valedictorian) from the University of Ghana business school graduates with FGPA 3.94. The young gentleman by name Michael Siaw Larbi was a product of the Presbyterian Boy’s Senior High School and holds a certificate in Chartered Accountancy as at Last year. He was a member of ENACTUS University of Ghana and led the team in winning a number of competitive competitions across the globe. His FGPA of 3.94 is one of the best in the history of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).
HERE IS A PROFILE OF MICHAEL SIAW – THE BEST GRADUATING STUDENT OF UNIVERSITY OF GHANA BUSINESS SCHOOL
Michael Siaw Larbi gained admission into the university of Ghana business school (UGBS) where he studied for the Bachelor of Science in business administration degree, majoring in Banking and Finance. He is graduating with an FGPA of 3.94.
His choice of Business school in Legon was informed by its reputation for world class excellence in business education.
Michael attended Presbyterian Boys Senior High School Legon and studied General Arts with Elective in Economics, Elective Mathematics, Geography and Government. He emerged as the national best General Arts candidate in the 2012 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Whilst in level 300, Michael Siaw qualified as a Charted Accountant; completing the CA program in two years, becoming one of Ghana’s youngest Chartered Accountants. In April this year, he was selected to join other students around the world to participate in Goldman Sachs’ Spring Internship program in London.
Michael was a member of the University of Ghana ENACTUS Team and served as Team Presenter and Project Manager for the Hope for the Future project. A project which saw the renovation of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital’s Occupational Therapy Unit and provided vocational skills in bead stringing to treated mental patients.
Mr. Michael Siaw Larbi aspires to be a leader in the Financial services industry as well as a well-rounded professional. He believes that everyone has within them what it takes to change the world and make a difference in the lives of others. He says, “my dream has always been to do great things and to inspire others to even do greater things.”
