The mud dilapidated school block collapsed on the pupils killing Sandra Azameti
A six-year-old pupil of the Adrakpo Kindergarten School in the Akatsi South District of Volta Region, lost her life painfully today [Friday], when a dilapidated school block, made of mud, collapsed on her.
The pupil, according to an eyewitness, was playing in a pool of water close to the mud school block together with her friend of four years, when the building suddenly collapsed on them.
The school is a community initiative yet to be absorbed by government.
Sandra Azameti died immediately, while the other, who sustained injuries, passed out and was rushed to the St Paul’s Hospital at Akatsi.
Graphic images of the deceased available to citifmonline.com, showed the girl lying lifeless in her school uniform stained with blood. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, whiles the other kid is receiving medical treatment.
