New Edubiase United got their hopes of staying in the league with a flyer as they won by a lone goal over Medeama SC at the Len Clay stadium.
Coach Prince Owusu gave new signing Amos Korankye his debut against New Edubiase United whereas former Liberty Professionals goalkeeper Daniel Agyei was an unused substitute.
Returning attacking midfielder, Bismark Idan, who won the Man-of-the-match was named in the starting line-up of New Edubiase United after completing his move back to the side after signing in the second transfer window.
The Yellow and Mauves failed make good use of the few opportunities that fell their way as their forward men fluffed their lines.
New Edubiase United took the lead from a counter attack through Godfred Asiamah in the 37th minute.
Medeama SC came close to equalizing on several occasions but New Edubiase United goalie Benjamin Mensah made brilliant saves to stop the attempts.
Medeama SC failed to make their dominance count in the first half of game but can’t afford to do same when they host MO Bejaia in the CAF Confederation Cup in Wednesday.
