The Electoral Commission of Ghana Institute of Journalism SRC has set April 29th and 30th as the election days for this year’s SRC elections.
Speaking to the chairman of the EC, Mr. Shadrack Nkrumah, he explained that the April 29 voting is for the weekend students, whereas the April 30 voting will be for the regular students.
Still on GIJ’s 2018 SRC elections, Mr. Nkrumah stated that with the release of the vetting results of aspirants, his office has lifted the ban on elections.
This year’s GIJ SRC election seeks to have a new executive body for the SRC as the Martin Thompson Ntem administration comes to an end.
A total of 6 portfolios are being contested for by about 12 candidates.
