The Dean of students affairs have indicated that he may consider bringing in the national Electoral Commission to supervise the Students Representative Council elections in subsequent ones.
This comes on the heels of the failed and botched attempt to vote in a new set of executives to take over from the Esinam Afi Seade Led SRC administration.
Professor Francis Nunoo, who is the Dean of Student Affairs of the University of Ghana speaking to Abdul Karim, host of Campus Exclusive on Radio Univers Wednesday morning [12th April] he laid the entire blame of the botched election on the doorstep of the EC in what he describes as failure to fully prepare.
Some reasons he ascribed to support this suggestion was that the students were much not experienced in the organisation and supervision of elections.
Yesterday, [Tuesday, 11th April, 2017], the SRC election scheduled to take place across 17 polling stations failed due to failure of the system of electronic voting at many polling stations, and a breach of the agreement by stakeholders to use the hybrid system (manual and electronic voting combined).
