Ghana will avoid giants Ivory Coast and Algeria in the draw for the 2018 World Cup.
The West African powerhouse are in Pot 1 alongside Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Egypt meaning these top teams would avoid each other.
However, the four-time African champions could draw sworn-rivals Nigeria and Cameroon in a potentially frightening group for the race to Russia.
The draw for the World Cup qualifiers will be staged in Cairo on 24 June 24.
The 20 teams for the draw will be divided into five groups of four teams with the winners of each group qualifying for the finals in Russia.
Ghana will be seeking a fourth successive World Cup berth after featured in 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions.
