Of the 134 senior high schools from all the 10 regions of Ghana who for close to three weeks have been competing, 27 have made it to the quarter finals of the National Science and Maths Quiz competition.
By virtue of having reached the quarter finals, these 27 schools would gain automatic qualification to the 2017 edition of the competition, thus skipping the Regional competitions and Preliminary stage of next year’s edition.
The 2016 National Science and Maths Quiz will enter its quarter final stage on Thursday, June 23, 2016, with contests taking place till Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Nine (9) winners at the quarter final stage will proceed to the semifinal stage, which comes off on Monday, June 27, 2016.

This years’ national science and maths quiz has recorded some unbelievable results in the one-eighth stage of the competition leading to the elimination of big name schools like St. Peters Senior high school, Achimota senior high school, Holy Child School among others.
The National Science and Maths Quiz is being held at the R.S. Amegashie Auditorium of the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
The semi-final of the completion will be held on the 27th of June and the final on the 29th of June.
