Sefako Makgatho Drive Accident, a child was among three people who were injured during a collision in Sinoville, north of Pretoria, on Monday afternoon.
The collision happened on the Sefako Makgatho Drive and Vinko Street around 17:30, said Best Care emergency service spokesperson Xander Loubser.
“Upon arrival, we found that two vehicles had collided. We had to airlift to a hospital a 26-year-old who sustained chest, head injuries and a fractured arm. She was in a critical condition,” he said.
“The child was also critically injured while another male patient suffered serious injuries. Both of them were transported to Steve Biko hospital.”
Loubser said the cause of the crash was not yet known.
One person killed in N1 collision
One person was killed in an accident on the N1 south after Sefako Makgatho Drive off-ramp on Friday evening.
According to Emer-G Med, a car rear-ended a truck around 20:00.
The driver of the car died on scene.
According to an eyewitness, the driver was trapped inside the car and jaws of life had to be used to get the driver out.
Several lanes had to be closed due to the collision.
