ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

National Senior Certificate with rating codes:

  • English Home Language (4) or English First Additional Language (3). 

Applicants who meet the minimum admission requirements will be subjected to a further selection process as determined by the department. 

DURATION OF STUDY

The National Diploma cannot be completed in less than three years and must be completed within six years of full-time registration and eight years of part-time registration.

WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING

Upon successful completion of the second year, students must apply for Work Integrated Learning (WIL), registering in terms of the WIL policy and procedures. MUT will provide assistance in securing placements, but it must be stressed that these placements may not be guaranteed.

Before beginning WIL, assessment documentation must be obtained from the department and all students completing second year must attend the applicable orientation for WIL candidates.
