Specific Learning Objectives
- Assess the characteristics of normal growth and development both physical and psychology, from the neonatal period until the age of puberty, and identify and manage abnormal findings.
- Plan and carry out methods to prevent major common disorders and to promote optimal health in infants and children.
- Give advice including genetic counseling, education and help including nutrition instruction, to the parents of the child.
- Manage a child health clinic, apply relevant screening tests, identify those children at risk, and provide long term care for them.
Collect basic statistical data and use them to assess preventive and curative measures in child health.
