DETAILED ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A. TERTIARY PROGRAMMES
1. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY (B-TECH) DEGREE IN BUILDING TECHNOLOGY
PROGRAMME DURATION
The programme duration is eighteen (18) months consisting of three semesters, with one semester being a six-month
internship with industry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
i. Applicants must hold a good HND (Second Class Upper Division or Better) in Building Technology or
allied programmes with at least one year relevant post qualification experience. Applicants with HND
Second Class Lower Division must pass a selection interview before they could be considered.
ii. Candidates with Construction Technicians Course Part III or Part II old Scheme with five good passes
including Construction Practice, Applied Technology and Site Experience and Construction Project
Work plus good passes in either Land Surveying or Measurement of Construction Works with their
project work shall be admitted. Candidates with some passes in G.C.E ‘O’ Level or SSSCE/WASSCE
or similar qualification would be an added advantage.
NOTE: In addition to the above entry requirement for CTC Holders, applicants will go through a
bridging course or Pre-B-Tech programme for a minimum of three months organized by the
Polytechnic and should pass the stipulated courses before they are enrolled fully on the B-Tech
programme.
2. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY (B-TECH) DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING WITH COMPUTING
PROGRAMME DURATION
The programme duration is 18 months consisting of 3 semesters.

3. HND ACCOUNTANCY
PROGRAMME DURATION : 3 YEARS (6 SEMESTERS)
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A. SSSCE/RSA II (NEW SCHEME) APPLICANTS:- Credit passes (A – D) in three (3) Core subjects
(English, Mathematics/Business Mathematics, Integrated Science/Core Science or Social Studies and
credit passes (A – D) in two (2) Elective subjects ( i.e. Introduction to Business Management (IBM),
Accounting, Costing and Business Mathematics or Economics, Elective Mathematics, Geography).
Candidates with the requisite Science subjects can also apply.
B. WASSCE APPLICANTS:- Credit passes (A1–C6) in three (3) Core subjects (English,
Mathematics/Business Mathematics, Integrated Science/Core Science or Social Studies and credit passes
(A1 – C6) in two (2) Elective subjects ( i.e. Introduction to Business Management (IBM),Accounting,
Costing and Business Mathematics or Economics, Elective Mathematics, Geography. ) Candidates with
the requisite Science subjects can also apply.
C. GCE ‘A’ LEVEL/RSA LLL APPLICANTS:- Candidates must have passes in three (3) business related
GCE ‘A’ Level subjects or RSA Stage lll Passes in Business related subject. In addition to the above
requirements, candidates must have GCE ‘O’ Level or RSA II Credit passes in 5 subjects including
English and Business Mathematics.GCE ‘A’ Level Candidates must have a pass in General Paper.
D. DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS STUDIES APPLICANTS (DBS):- Applicants who hold DBS with
Distinction or Credit from GES accredited institutions are eligible for admission to level 200 of the HND
Accountancy programme. DBS applicants who hold a Pass would enroll at level 100. In all cases applicants
would be required to have four (4) credit passes in WASSCE/SSSCE/ RSA II including English and
Mathematics.
E. LCCI / CITY AND GUILDS PITMAN’S QUALIFICATION:- Candidates must have the Advanced
Certificate in three (3) relevant subjects plus five (5) passes at the Intermediate Level including Business
Mathematics/Calculation and English Language.
F. MATURE APPLICANTS
i. Must be at least 25 years old
ii. Must be engaged in Accounting related work for at least two years.
iii. Must pass a written examination and an interview.
iv. Must show proof of date of birth with any national document which is at least 5 years old at the time of

PROGRAMME DURATION
The programme duration is eighteen (18) months consisting of three semesters, with one semester being a six-month
internship with industry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
i. Applicants must hold a good HND (Second Class Upper Division or Better) in Building Technology or
allied programmes with at least one year relevant post qualification experience. Applicants with HND
Second Class Lower Division must pass a selection interview before they could be considered.
ii. Candidates with Construction Technicians Course Part III or Part II old Scheme with five good passes
including Construction Practice, Applied Technology and Site Experience and Construction Project
Work plus good passes in either Land Surveying or Measurement of Construction Works with their
