The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology school of nursing provides intensive theoretical and clinical teaching in nursing, building on knowledge in the basic sciences. This prepares students to become professional nurses capable of effectively delivering nursing care to their clients and significant others. The course also prepares the students to identify pertinent health problems in health institutions and communities and to effectively design programme that can address these. The teaching methods implaced equip students to deliver health information to various groups in order to meet their particular needs.

Entry Requirement:
WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS
Credits in THREE (3) Core Subjects (English, Mathematics and Integrated Science), plus THREE (3) Elective Subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS
FIVE (5) credits at O’ Level, including Mathematics, English Language and a Science subject, plus THREE (3) A’ Level passes in the Sciences (Chemistry and Biology, Physics or Mathematics).
MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must be at least 25 years at the time of submitting the application.
EITHER
FIVE (5) credits at the O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.
OR
WASSCE/SSSCE Credits in THREE (3) Core Subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science) plus THREE (3) Elective Subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics).
OR
A State Registered Nursing Certificate (SRN) with a minimum of FIVE years working experience. Applicants must also pass an interview.
OTHER APPLICANTS
Holders of the Registered General Nursing (RGN) Diploma with at least TWO (2) years working experience and a good pass at the Diploma level may be admitted after a successful interview.
