#UgDecides- 2 candidates allegedly disqualified from UG SRC presidential race

Information reaching legonconnect.com from a highly classified source indicates that, two aspirants in this year’s SRC presidential election have been disqualified and the announcement to that effect Will be made by the electoral commissioner in the coming days.
The highly placed source indicates that, the two aspirants namely Eugene Agyei and Joseph Agyekum Will be disqualified from the race even before the vetting due to their inability to meet the most important criteria of the competition.
The two are said to have fallen short of the 3.0 all important criteria below which a candidate is considered not qualified to contest any position within the walls of the University of Ghana.
It was alleged that, Allen Asare and Sowah Anyetei were also on the verge of disqualification for non payment of fines for illegally posting their posters at inappropriate locations around campus. They later provided evidence of payment and were allowed to proceed with their preparations towards the election.
Ten aspirants filed to contest the presidential race by the close of nomination but only eight is so far likely to contest in the race.
The election according to the electoral calendar Will come off on the 21st of April and the pass mark for the vetting is also pegged at 70% by the electoral commissioner.
